Production Management and Editorial Experience

Emily’s background lies in women’s media and online editorial. She is a self starter with an entrepreneurial history well suited to working independently or within dynamic teams. She is able to apply practiced time-management, leadership and communication skills to creative projects.

Emily is currently a producer at Eastmedia where she is responsible for project and account management including client services, creative strategy documentation, resource allocation and quality assurance.  Prior to Eastmedia she was a producer at Bond Art and Science where she had the opportunity to plan and manage the digital strategy for Microsoft including the redesign of Zune Insider.

She is the founding partner of CAKE: an internationally recognized entertainment brand for women covered in over 100 magazines and newspapers including Vanity Fair, The New York Times, The London Times, and featured on 20/20.  Over six years she published, wrote, edited and moderated content across four active web properties, edited, designed, distributed and archived weekly a newsletter for 30,000 subscribers, and acted as community manager for an online community of 2,000 paid members.

Emily is the Author of A Piece of CAKE, a non-fiction sexual health book published by Simon and Schuster in the U.S. and the U.K. (2006) and Random House in Germany (2008).  She is also the creator and author of 99dolla and a contributor to Cool Hunting.

Her technical skills span all aspects of web production including expertise in CSS, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite, iWork, MS Office, and an understanding of MySQL and PHP.
